A laser marks the material itself rather than laying ink on top of it. That is why an engraved tumbler survives the dishwasher, a keychain survives a pocket, and a sign survives being outside — there is no layer to peel.

Layered, not just etched
Cutting rather than marking opens up a different kind of work: shapes cut clean out of wood or acrylic and stacked into layers, so the finished piece has real depth. Family names, address signs, seasonal decor, team boards, and the occasional superhero.

Artwork
What engraves well
Engraving produces a single tone — the color the material goes when the laser hits it. It cannot reproduce color, and it struggles with very fine gradients. Within that, it is extremely sharp.
- Vector files reproduce best. SVG, EPS, AI and PDF scale cleanly to any size.
- High-contrast artwork works. Solid shapes and clean lines translate far better than photographs.
- Send what you have. If all you have is a logo off a website, send it anyway — we will tell you whether it will hold up, and often we can redraw it.
- Color logos still work, they just come out in one tone. If the color is essential, UV printing is the better route.
Process
Nothing is cut until you say so
Every custom job goes the same way, whether it is one gift or four hundred branded bottles:
- You send artwork or engraving text, on the product page or with a quote request.
- We lay it out on the item and email you a proof.
- You approve it in one click, or tell us what to change.
- Only then does it go into production.
That step exists because engraving is permanent. A typo caught at proof stage costs nothing; caught after production it costs the whole run.
Common questions
Before you order
Will the engraving wear off?
No. The mark is cut into the material rather than printed on top, so there is no coating to peel, fade in the wash or rub away with handling.
Can you engrave in color?
Engraving itself is a single tone — the color the material turns where the laser hits it. If your artwork depends on color, UV printing is the right process instead, and we do that too.
Do I need a professional logo file?
No, but it helps. Vector files reproduce best at any size. Send whatever you have and we will tell you honestly whether it will engrave cleanly, or redraw it.
Can I see it before it is made?
Yes, always. We email a proof and nothing goes into production until you approve it. You can request changes as many times as it takes to be right.
Can you do one, or do I have to order a batch?
Both. One engraved gift is as welcome as a branded run for a company or team.
What does it cost and how long does it take?
Individual tumblers and bottles are priced in the shop. Bulk and branded work is quoted per job — contact us for bulk pricing. Engraving your text costs nothing extra; a design fee only applies if we have to create or rework artwork to make it engrave properly, and we tell you before doing that.
